FashKnit is India's location-first discovery platform for independent fashion designers and custom boutiques. Shoppers browse 735+ listed boutiques across 55 Indian cities, preview eligible looks with AI Virtual Try-On in the app, and connect directly for made-to-measure occasion wear. Boutiques get a free digital profile, model-shoot tools, and discovery with zero commission on direct inquiries.
Parent company Manil AI Pvt Ltd was founded in 2021. FashKnit is the product of multi-year foundation work: conversations with 250+ boutiques, continuous product evolution, and production AI systems for try-on, model shoots, and post serving.
Sameeksha Shrivastava's wedding brought the full force of India's designer-wear chaos into focus: talented makers hard to discover, portfolios scattered across Instagram, timelines and fittings opaque, and almost no confident way to visualize a piece before fabric and money were committed.
Instead of accepting that friction as how fashion works, the founders treated it as a product problem. They sat with at least 250 boutiques - owners, karigars, and studio teams - mapping real workflows, inventory realities, pricing anxiety, photography costs, and how customers actually arrive (referrals, DMs, walk-ins).
Those conversations became the brief: build a two-sided platform where shoppers can discover, experience, and decide - and where independent talent gets a serious digital home without marketplace commission tax. Years of foundation work later, boutiques are registering for digital profiles, portfolios, model shoots, and the zero-commission promise; shoppers keep returning for Try-On and direct designer connection.

Sameeksha holds an M.Tech in AI and Machine Learning and brings 11+ years of industry experience. A lifelong fashionista, she hit the sharp edge of designer-wear complexity during her own wedding - and chose to build rather than complain. That personal urgency, combined with technical depth in AI/ML, shaped FashKnit's product thesis: use modern AI where it reduces real friction (try-on, model imagery), and keep the human craft of Indian fashion at the centre.
Beyond work she is an avid dancer and traveller, a professional off-road car racer with national-level rally wins, and a cooking creator with a YouTube channel of nearly 50k followers.
Pulkit is an IIT BHU Electronics graduate (2007) with 19+ years across business strategy, product, and large-scale delivery. As CTO of Geekyworks for nearly a decade and then Manil AI, he has worked with enterprises including TOTO, TATA, Mondelez, Reliance, and Best Western, and with startups such as Earlysalary (Fibe), Thrillophilia, and Wellcare Today. He mentors early-stage teams on MVPs and market entry.
Curiosity spans tech, health, fashion, travel, and gastronomy. Outside work he is an APPI-certified paragliding pilot, trekker, traveller, car rally navigator and certified yoga trainer - a practical balance of ambition and mindfulness that mirrors how FashKnit blends cutting-edge tech with craft traditions.
